GEHA Dental Insurance Dentist in Fort Collins (North Fort Collins)
Murphy Dental accepts the GEHA both High and Standard dental insurance plans. Both the standard and high options provide preventive, basic and major treatment services. Their High option is a very comprehensive dental insurance as well as the Standard.
GEHA is different than many other dental insurance companies in that they break out and classify procedures into “classes”. Class A, B, C and D for GEHA are briefly described below.
- Class A – The Class A is more preventive services such as a non-disease dental cleaning, fluoride and sealants. All of which are meant to prevent tooth decay and keep your gums healthy.
- Class B – covers dental care services such as fillings, more complex procedures like a root canal and oral surgery (extractions)
- Class C – covers dentaltreatments like crowns, bridges, implants and dentures, and other more major services
- Class D – Some of the Class D orthodontic services have age limitations while other GEHA plans will pay for adult sure smile (a teeth alignment treatment similar to Invisalign)
Note that many emergency dental care services will likely fall under Class B or Class C. Call our office for details.
Helping You to Understand Your GEHA Coverage
As dental providers who accept insurance from many sources including GEHA, we will always look at your personal insurance plan and ask pertinent questions ensuring we obtain as much information regarding how you can optimize your dental insurance. We always check with GEHA if they have a missing tooth clause on a patient’s dental insurance as insurance won’t pay anything if a tooth is already missing when you sign up for the plan.
