Periodontal cleanings also have limitations, such a patient may have to split the scaling and root planing therapy into 2 different appointments on 2 different days doing half the mouth each time because insurance won’t pay for it if you do it all in one day. Fillings, Root Canals, Oral Surgery typically fall into the basic category and co-insurance is between 50%-80% with insurance paying the 80%.
